Venison Sloppy Joe Burritos

A fun, easy meal perfect for any time of the day!
Inspired by: What I would have made in college (if I’d been a deer hunter)!
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground venison
- ½ small yellow onion, chopped
- ¼ green bell pepper, chopped
- 2 large garlic cloves, minced
- 1 can Manwich Sloppy Joe Sauce
- 1 pack large flour tortillas
- 1 tbsp Rolfe Rub (or your favorite seasoning blend)
- Sour cream
- Shredded lettuce
- Diced tomatoes
- Diced jalapeños
- Shredded cheese
Instructions:
Prepare the filling:
- Sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic in oil or butter until softened.
- Add venison and cook until browned.
- Stir in Rolfe Rub, then drain off excess grease.
- Mix in the Manwich sauce and combine thoroughly.
Assemble the burritos:
- Lay a tortilla flat and spread sour cream on the bottom half.
- Layer with lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños, and cheese.
- Add a generous scoop of the venison mixture.
- Roll the tortilla tightly into a burrito. (Tip: Search online for rolling techniques if needed.)
Optional: Top with a drizzle of Taco Bell sauce for an extra kick.
