Venison Sloppy Joe Burritos

A fun, easy meal perfect for any time of the day!

Inspired by: What I would have made in college (if I’d been a deer hunter)!
Serves: 4

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground venison
  • ½ small yellow onion, chopped
  • ¼ green bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 large garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can Manwich Sloppy Joe Sauce
  • 1 pack large flour tortillas
  • 1 tbsp Rolfe Rub (or your favorite seasoning blend)
  • Sour cream
  • Shredded lettuce
  • Diced tomatoes
  • Diced jalapeños
  • Shredded cheese

Instructions:

Prepare the filling:

  1. Sauté onion, bell pepper, and garlic in oil or butter until softened.
  2. Add venison and cook until browned.
  3. Stir in Rolfe Rub, then drain off excess grease.
  4. Mix in the Manwich sauce and combine thoroughly.

Assemble the burritos:

  1. Lay a tortilla flat and spread sour cream on the bottom half.
  2. Layer with lettuce, tomatoes, jalapeños, and cheese.
  3. Add a generous scoop of the venison mixture.
  4. Roll the tortilla tightly into a burrito. (Tip: Search online for rolling techniques if needed.)

Optional: Top with a drizzle of Taco Bell sauce for an extra kick.
